This October, Carousel Gardens Amusement Park in New Orleans will transform into an adults-only playground for its highly anticipated Brews and Boos event. On Friday, October 25, and Saturday, October 26, the park will offer a Halloween experience that blends thrills, costumes, and drinks, all while leaving the usual crowd of children behind.
For $35, attendees can enjoy three hours of unlimited beer, access to all amusement rides, and the opportunity to show off their Halloween costumes. Though the event no longer features an official costume contest, park staff will be on the lookout for standout costumes, awarding prizes to the best-dressed guests by the end of the night. Past costumes have ranged from the elaborate to the hilariously simple, with creative ideas always impressing the staff.
The park’s 18 rides will be fully operational, and guests can indulge in their inner child while enjoying grown-up perks. Crowd favorites like the ladybug roller coaster, horse carousel, and the playful Wacky Shack fun house are expected to be popular among attendees. Along with the rides and drinks, guests can enjoy snacks like jambalaya and popcorn to keep the energy up.
This special Halloween weekend promises fun beyond the rides, with live DJs providing entertainment throughout the night. VIP tickets are available for $60, offering access to an open bar, private seating, and exclusive extras.
Brews and Boos is more than just a night of fun—it also serves a good cause, with proceeds going to support the City Park Conservancy. The event will take place from 8 to 11 p.m. at City Park in New Orleans, located at 7 Victory Avenue.
Whether you’re in it for the rides, the costumes, or just the brews, this is one Halloween event that’s not to be missed.
